The Department of Mathematics belongs to the Institute of Mathematics and Fundamental Physics (IMAFF) of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). The Department consists of around 20 researchers working in various areas of Mathematics. There is a close relationship between our Department and the spanish universities. For instance, the Department of Mathematics of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is associated to IMAFF. Also several members of our Department lecture at universities.
This is a developing growing department, which has incorporated a number of researchers under the Ramón y Cajal, and Juan de la Cierva programs, and which aims to attract new researchers.
